An Affordable Housing Scheme (AHS) is a program where the Local Authority assists members of the public to purchase a housing unit by purchasing a percentage of the house they wish to buy.
The Expressions of Interest (EOI) survey will be used as part of an application to the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage to run such a scheme in Ennis and Shannon.

The Expressions of Interest (EOI) survey will be used as part of an application to the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage to run such a scheme in Ennis and Shannon.
This is a survey for the purpose of gathering information and determining potential levels of interest in affordable housing on a geographic basis.
There will be no follow up correspondence to submissions after the survey is complete and the survey is anonymous, i.e. you are not asked to give your name or address or similar details.
Completion of the survey does not imply eligibility or convey approval to any future affordable housing scheme operated by Clare County Council.
At a later date applicants to the scheme will have the option to apply for a loan with a private lending institution and / or the Local Authority.
The non-personal data submitted by you as part of this submission, will be retained in accordance with the retention schedules for as long as the relevant statutory provisions remain in force and that apply and will be used for the following purposes only:
The establishment of a record of provisional interest in affordable housing provided by Clare County Council
The potential onward transfer of anonymised data to the Department of Housing Local Government and Heritage or the Housing Agency as part of any evaluation or approval process associated with affordable housing.
As a base register from which anonymised data will be derived to be passed on to a builder/developer of affordable homes.
