Some mothers say they feel a little self-conscious breastfeeding out and about the first time, particularly when latching baby on. More often than not, a mother will breastfeed her baby and other people around her will not take notice. Breastfeeding Friendly Campaign

<p>Clare Arts Office, through <a href="https://www.clarecoco.ie/services/arts-recreation/publications/flourish-clare-arts-development-plan-2019-2023-37263.pdf" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Flourish, the Clare Arts Plan</a>, has prioritised working with disadvantaged and marginalised communities in Clare. We are committed to promoting open and accessible opportunities for all and a key action of the plan is to promote cultural diversity through our arts programmes.</p><p>A key action of the Arts Plan is to support culturally diverse artists by designing opportunities to encourage and assist these artists to develop their art practice and to share their talents in the county.</p><p>This has led to the creation of TONES Studio Residency Award</p><p>The aim of this residency is to provide the selected artist with</p><ul><li>access to a shared studio facility at our<a href="https://clarearts.ie/places/easi-artists-studios/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"> EASI Studios</a> in Ennis</li><li>a small production budget</li><li>the support they need to progress their work and their career. An arts advisor will be assigned to the resident artist during the year, to work together on providing the most appropriate support.</li></ul><h2>Eligibility</h2><p>To apply, you must:</p><p>1. be a Clare-based visual artist age 18 or older</p><p>2. be in need for studio space and career development support</p><p>3. be able to commute to EASI studios in Ennis</p><p>4. identify as one or more of the following:</p><p style="margin-left: 20px;">a. a migrant of underrepresented cultural or ethnic backgrounds</p><p style="margin-left: 20px;">b. have asylum seekers or refugee status</p><p style="margin-left: 20px;">c. have another precarious immigration status</p><p style="margin-left: 20px;">- or -</p><p style="margin-left: 20px;">d. come from a family that can be described by one or more of the above.</p><p><br></p><h2>What the award includes</h2><p>The artist will be granted:</p><p>1. One year of free, 24-hours access to a shared studio space</p><p>2. Support from consultants, curators, and other artists; the artist will discuss this with the arts advisor, according to the artist&rsquo;s specific practice needs</p><p>3. &euro;700 production budget</p><p>4. &euro;700 fee for participation in a public programme, agreed with the awardee</p><p>5. Participation in a professional development programme relevant to their practice</p><p><br></p><h2>Expectations from the awardee</h2><p>1. Corofin - property feasibility study and streetscape enhancement strategy

A Masterplan is being prepared for Shannon Town Centre which will set out a clear and shared vision for its development over the next 15 years.

<main><main><main><main><p style="text-align: justify;">Ennis was among the successful applicants under the Government&rsquo;s Urban Regeneration and Development Fund (URDF), which is intended to drive regeneration and rejuvenation of strategic and under utilised areas within Ireland&rsquo;s cities and large towns.</p></main></main><p style="text-align: justify;">The successful project, O&rsquo;Connell Square, High Street, Bank Place, Barrack Street, O&#39;Connell Street and Old Barrack Square, has an overall cost of &euro;5,390,391 with 75 per cent of the cost being granted funded under the URDF, and the remaining 25 per cent being financed by Clare County Council. In addition to the Parnell Street laneways and bow-ways project this will have the shared purpose of regenerating the public realm and will enhance the town centre environment, making it a more accessible and attractive place to spend time.</p><p style='margin-top:0cm;margin-right:0cm;margin-bottom:8.0pt;margin-left:0cm;line-height:150%;font-size:15px;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;text-align:justify;'>In respect of the above project, Clare County Council have previously secured Part VIII planning permission for O&rsquo;Connell Square, Bank Place, High Street, Old Barrack Street and Barrack Square (Planning ref. P20-8004). We are now developing proposals for the O&rsquo;Connell Street element with modifications for part of Old Barrack Street. We are seeking your input on the preliminary design for the project with a view to informing the detailed design process. It is intended to submit this project for Part VIII planning approval in Q3 2021. Development of 8 social housing units in Doonbeg

<p><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-rv fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/555231445" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span>A memorial garden and sculpture marking the County Clare Nursery (Mother &amp; Baby Home) will be installed in Kilrush, County Clare, later this summer. Members of the public are invited to have their say on the proposed memorial sculpture and wording.</p><p>The County Clare Nursery, which was owned and financed by Clare County Council, housed unmarried mothers and their babies, as well as orphaned and abandoned babies, from 1922 to 1932.</p><p>Conditions during the nursery&#39;s ten-year existence were extremely poor as the building was in a bad state of repair. The mothers who lived there were also described as neglected, with no proper clothing or comfort of any kind. An estimated 330 children were born here during the nursery&#39;s ten-year existence.</p><p>Following the publication of the Final Report of the Commission of Investigation into Mother and Baby Homes in February 2021, Clare County Council issued a public apology for its role in failing to meet the care needs of the former residents. Clare County Council expressed its commitment to memorialising the former residents of the site. County Clare Nursery Memorial (Mother & Baby Home)

<h1>Context for the development of Artists Studios</h1><p>Over the last 20 years the creation of artist studios in Tulla, Ennistymon and most recently Ennis, supports visual artists in making work in Clare, and offers young artists the opportunity to work at home, developing their practice. Coupled with the imminent development of a new gallery in Ennis, the visual arts and their development with new media, offers exciting engagements with local communities and opportunities to further disseminate images and visions of the county worldwide.</p><p>It is an ambition of the Arts Office of Clare County Council, outlined in the <a href="https://www.clarecoco.ie/services/arts-recreation/publications/flourish-clare-arts-development-plan-2019-2023-37263.pdf" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Flourish: County Arts Development Plan 2019 - 2023</a>, that studio artists will be better connected in with local communities, venues, festivals and arts organisations as places of co-production and enhanced public engagement and visibility. As part of the consultations for the plan, artists expressed the need to access studio spaces that support individual artform practice, as well as co-working spaces to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and artistic innovation through links with other sectors.</p><p>We currently have co-working spaces at EASI and an independent unit in Tulla Stables Studios. It is envisaged, through this call, that a panel will be formed to cover any vacancies that may arise until June 30th, 2023. Arts organisations, cultural practitioners, artists, writers and multi-disciplinary practitioners are welcome to apply.</p><h2>Ennis Artists Studios Initiative (EASI)</h2><p>Ennis Artists Studios Initiative has been developed by the Clare Arts Office in response to the need for artists /arts organisations workspaces in Ennis.<br>Based in Tracklands, Tobartoasc&aacute;in, Ennis it comprises of<br>a) seven shared studios<br>b) 2 independent units &ndash; currently occupied<br>c) space for group work / exhibitions etc.</p><p>Each studio / workstation has access to power, broadband, water and bathrooms. There is free parking, 24 hour access to the studios and a communal kitchenette.<br>The studios are not suitable for heavy duty sculptural work or the creation of large scale artworks.<br>The cost of a shared studio in EASI is &euro;120 per month inclusive of all utilities and wifi. The license fee is due in advance monthly by standing order along with one month&rsquo;s deposit.</p><p>The studios will be let until July 30th, 2023.</p><h2>Tulla Stables Studios</h2><p>The Tulla Stables Studios is a studio resource for artists of all disciplines developed by Clare County Council with the support of the Department of Arts. It comprises of six studios each with power and water, 1 without water and with access to a kiln. 4 of the studios have a mezzanine for storage. There are toilets and shower facilities and there is broadband in each of the studios. The facility has private parking and 24 hour access.</p><h3>Application criteria</h3><ul><li>Applicants must reside in the Republic of Ireland.</li><li>Applicants must be professional practitioners and hold a degree or diploma from a recognized educational institution or have equivalent professional experience. Persons in full time education, undergraduate students and full time MA students will not be considered.</li></ul><h3>Licensing Details</h3><p>The cost of a studio in Tulla is &euro;150 per month inclusive of all utilities. The license fee is due in advance monthly by standing order along with one month&rsquo;s deposit. There are no shared facilities in Tulla.</p><p>Studios are licensed for an initial 12 month period which may be extended for a further period of 3 years and 9 months.<br>The cost of a shared studio in Ennis is &euro;120 per month inclusive of all utilities etc.<br>The license fee is due in advance monthly by standing order along with one months&rsquo; deposit.</p><p>Studios are licensed for an initial 12 month period which may be extended for a further period until June 30th, 2023.</p><p>Clare County Council insures both buildings for public liability but it is the artists&rsquo; responsibility to insure their artworks / equipment etc.</p><p><br></p><h3>Terms and Conditions of Acceptance</h3><p>&bull; Each artist will be issued with a legal license agreement for the studio.<br>&bull; Each artist will be required to pay &euro;150 / &euro;120 / &euro;100 (depending on the studio allocated) per month by direct debit / standing order for the studio inclusive of heat, light, etc.<br>&bull; A deposit of &euro;150 / &euro;120 / &euro;100 (depending on the studio allocated) will be required once the studio is awarded and this will be repaid to the artist once the studio has been vacated and is deemed to be left in good working order by the County Council.<br>&bull; All artists agree to be bound by the operational rules and terms and conditions of the studios, which shall be provided to them when an offer of a studio is made including adhering to Health and Safety Procedures.<br>&bull; Commercial activities (classes etc.) may not take place at the studios unless the artist is insured for same and indemnifies Clare County Council.<br>&bull; No children&rsquo;s activities may take place at the EASI Studios.</p><p><br></p><h3>Selection of Artists</h3><p>All applications will be placed before an independent selection panel who will make recommendations on the allocation of studios to artists. Final approval of allocations rests with Clare County Council. Artists' Studios – Ennis and Tulla, County Clare

<p>Clare County Council is proposing to submit an application for the Creative Climate Action Fund at the end of May, 2021.</p><p>We are currently seeking expressions of interest from artists, arts organisations or environmental organisations /agencies that may wish to partner with us to submit a proposal relating to</p><ol style="list-style-type: lower-alpha;"><li>Climate Change impacts on the Coast</li><li>Wetlands in the county</li></ol><h2>Overview</h2><p>The Creative Ireland Programme in collaboration with the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications (DECC) is inviting applications to Creative Climate Action, a competitive fund of 1.5 - 2 million euro. Creative Climate Action will fund creative and cultural projects up to the end of 2022 that can meaningfully connect people with the profound changes that are happening in our environment, society and economy arising from climate change, and can transform that connection into behaviour change or climate action.</p><p>As outlined in the 2019 report, Engaging the Public on Climate Change through the Cultural and Creative Sectors commissioned by the Creative Ireland Programme and DECC, they believe that creativity, arts and culture have a vital role to play in bringing the urgency of this challenge to the forefront; in imagining, communicating and building a sustainable future; and in encouraging and facilitating action and change at all levels of society.</p><p>To create real impact they recognise the need to move towards collaborative, integrated efforts and are encouraging collaborative proposals which bring together stakeholders from across the arts and creative industries, climate change and environmental NGOs, education, science and civil society sectors, and that offer creative, innovative and interdisciplinary solutions.</p><p>Clare County Council propose to submit an application dealing with either of the two themes below</p><h3>a) Climate Change impacts on the Coast</h3><p>Expressions of interest should focus on climate change with an emphasis on rising sea levels and our changing climate such as an increase in intense winter storms and prolonged dry spells in the summer. They should be informed by Clare County Council&rsquo;s Climate Change Adaptation Strategy.</p><h3>b) Wetlands in the county</h3><p>Expressions of interest should focus on the importance of wetlands, their biodiversity and their importance as carbon sinks. They should be informed by the Clare Wetland Survey which indicates that the total wetland area in County Clare has been estimated at 23,440 ha based on this study, which represents 7.4 % of the entire county (this should be interpreted as a minimum area as wetland habitats within many sites were not mapped due to information deficit).</p><p>Expressions should be thought provoking, with an objective of changing behaviour. It is our preference that ideas should create a strong visual physical presence and ideally would be replicable in the four Municipal districts of the county &ndash; Ennis, Shannon, Killaloe and Ennistymon areas.</p><p>This call is to glean ideas from artists, arts organisations or environmental organisations /agencies around these particular themes. We propose, through this call, to</p><ol style="list-style-type: lower-alpha;"><li>identify proposals that are significantly developed to merit submission for consideration for funding to the Creative Climate Action Fund</li><li>identify proposals that may merit further development should other funding streams come online.</li></ol><p>Proposals should be cognisant of the favoured Areas of Impact which form the basis of the National Dialogue on Climate Action consultation and further details are available in the briefing document.</p><p><strong>Area 5 of the National Dialogue on Climate Action is of particular interest to Clare County Council - Our Local Climate and Environment</strong></p><p><em>Ireland also has an abundance of natural resources, from our bogs and forests, to our rivers and oceans.</em></p><p><em>These natural resources need to be protected from climate change, and in return, they will help us by absorbing carbon, reducing the risk of flooding, increasing flowers and wildlife, and acting as places for us all to reconnect with nature.</em></p><p><em>At a community level, groups are coming together to clean up pollution, protect local wildlife and to campaign to support the environment. Individually, people are choosing to rewild their garden, use non-toxic products in their homes and gardens and plant vegetation that support bees and other insects.</em></p><p>The Creative Climate Action Fund is looking for proposals that will</p><ul><li>Focus on action and impact</li><li>Spark imagination</li><li>Involve communities</li><li>Reach new audiences</li></ul><p>Ideas which engage those sections of society that need additional encouragement and support to respond to the climate challenge, or that are often excluded from the climate conversation are particularly welcome.</p><p>Please note that pojects which engage children and youth are not a key priority due to the development of environmental awareness already established within this cohort so these will not be prioritized by the Fund.</p><p>Projects should</p><ul><li>Deepen participation</li><li>Span contexts</li><li>Are at scale in terms of longevity, potential to be scaled up, not a single event</li><li>Low carbon and environmentally friendly in project planning and delivery.</li></ul><h2>Selection Process</h2><p>Proposals well be assessed as per the criteria below. Due to the short time scale involved we will select the proposal that is the most well developed for this particular round of funding. Others of interest will be retained for further development if funding allows.</p><h2>Selection Criteria</h2><p>The Climate Action call aims to ensure that projects are selected in transparent and fair manner, according to clear criteria and a rigorous selection process when due consideration is given to all eligible proposals. The following criteria and marks relate to the questions asked in the survey section below. Applications will be assessed on the following criteria. The maximum overall score is 100.</p><ol><li><strong>Relevance (20)</strong><br>The project meets the brief and is designed to engage the public on climate action and the system, lifestyle and behaviour changes needed at individual, household and community levels. It goes beyond just raising awareness of climate change and enables meaningful public interaction around one or more of the related themes presented in the brief.</li><li><strong>Quality / Innovation /Creativity (20)</strong><br>The project has clear artistic, creative or cultural value and strong participative approaches. It is original, innovative, and introduces new ideas, perspectives and methods of engagement.</li><li><strong>Impact (15)</strong><br>There is transformative potential regarding climate action, with the desired outcomes and longer-term impacts of the project well considered and thought through. There is a clear approach to how the impact will be evaluated and communicated (while we recognise that evaluation in this area is challenging, we are interested in projects that have the potential to lead to real change and that think about evaluation from the outset).</li><li><strong>Collaboration (15)</strong><br>There are partners from multiple disciplines involved and/or capacity to deliver the project through a network of collaboration. There is knowledge of/interest in climate change and experience of work in non-arts contexts.</li><li><strong>Scalability (10)</strong><br>There is potential for longevity, and for additional showcasing, scaling up or further development beyond the scope of this commission. The project goes beyond a single creative event and considers longer term movements and campaigns.</li><li><strong>Audience (10)</strong><br>There is strong consideration given to the audience, and the specific means of engagement. Although all applications will be considered, we are aware of other work which is engaging children and youth on climate change (as referenced above) and will prioritise projects which do not specifically focus on this audience.</li><li><strong>Feasibility (5)</strong><br>The project and budget are well thought through and put together. The environmental impacts of the project are considered. There is a strong partner with clear experience in implementation.</li><li><strong>Track record (5)</strong><br>The applicants / partners have experience in delivering high quality work in their respective field(s) and there is integrity of any scientific contributions or analysis. There is experience of building engagement around socially or politically challenging topics.</li></ol><h2>Selection Procedure and Selection Panel</h2><p>The selection panel will comprise of</p><ul><li>Members of Clare County Council&rsquo;s Culture and Creativity Team</li><li>Representatives from the Environment Section of Clare County Council</li></ul><p>It will be chaired by Helen Walsh, Creative Ireland Coordinator.</p><h2>Timeframe</h2><p>The deadline for artist(s) submissions is 4pm Friday May 21st, 2021. No late applications will be accepted.</p><p>Decisions will be communicated on Tuesday May 25th, 2021.</p><p>The selected applicant should be available to assist on the application from <strong>May 25th &ndash; May 31st</strong>, as required by Clare County Council. A stipend of &euro;350 will be paid to the successful applicant to cover their time from May 25th - May 31st in preparing the application with Clare County Council.</p>

Creative Climate Action Fund  - call to artists

<p><strong>Clare people at home and abroad are invited to virtually come together to celebrate St. Patrick&rsquo;s Day online</strong></p><p>This year Clare County Council is delighted to organise and present St. Patrick&rsquo;s Day via our online event, which can be accessed globally on <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCef9Ce5ZpOfTwqtazadiXBw">Clare County Council&rsquo;s YouTube Channel</a> and <a href="https://www.facebook.com/clarecountycouncil">Facebook</a> page. We are inviting all Clare people at home and abroad to celebrate together, by engaging with us either through active participation or being a member of our global audience. It will be a fantastic opportunity for Clare People to showcase their talent across the globe .</p><p>To achieve this goal we are requesting that you record an individual / group performance and submit it to us online (details below). You might like to get members of your group to logon to Zoom and record all the individuals performing together as a group online. We are looking for variety so music, song, poetry, dance, backyard parade, your choice. Please embrace the theme &lsquo;Connecting Clare&rsquo; in your performances.</p><p>A judging panel selected by Ennis Municipal District will review all entries. On St. Patrick&rsquo;s Day we will be releasing short videos every hour between 11am and 5pm. Performances which secure a place on the final videos released on St. Patrick&rsquo;s Day and are not category winners, will be entered into a draw for 2 * &euro;100 <a href="https://www.ennischamber.ie/services/clare-gift-card/"><u>Clare Gift Card</u></a>. St. Patrick's Day Virtual Event - "Connecting Clare"

<p>Clare County Council is offering a bursary award to drama practitioners living in Clare to enable them to attend the <a href="https://www.dli.ie/summerschool" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Drama League of Ireland Summer School at the University of Limerick</a> from July 31st - August 7th, 2021</p><p>Priority will be given to candidates who would not be able to otherwise attend due to financial hardship.</p><p><br></p><h2>CRITERIA</h2><p>1. Individuals seeking assistance must be based in County Clare.</p><p>2. You must be an active member of a drama group based in County Clare to be considered for this bursary or you must be able to demonstrate a clear interest in and commitment to theatre/drama.</p><p>3. The contact details of a referee should be supplied, ideally a committee member of the drama group to which you belong</p><p>4. Previous bursary winners are ineligible.</p><p><br></p><h2>ASSESSMENT</h2><p>On assessing your application we will take the following into account:</p><p>1. DLI Summer School Bursary

<h1 style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Scheme Overview</h1><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Clare County Council is seeking applications from all interested parties including Performing Artists (ensembles/bands or individuals), Promoters, Producers, Venues etc, who wish to receive support for outdoor performance events in County Clare from July 1st to September 30th 2021.</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Clare County Council will provide support for people in the live performance industry to facilitate programming of outdoor live performances in summer 2021 animating local communities, subject to public health considerations. Performances can be recorded or streamed if health restrictions prevent live events or as Clare County Council deem to be appropriate.</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">All genres of performance (Music, Spectacle, Circus, Street Arts etc) are encouraged to apply to this scheme. Small scale solo performances and unplugged presentations through to amplified concerts will be considered. We welcome joint applications from producers and performing artists. Family or all-ages performance events are particularly welcome. The proposal may be for multiple or single events. All events must be either free of charge or have a nominal charge.</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Specifically Clare County Council is seeking</p><ol><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Proposals to provide live outdoor music and / or family friendly entertainment throughout Ennis Town Centre</li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Proposals to provide live outdoor music and / or family friendly entertainment in Shannon Town Park</li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Proposals to provide live outdoor music and / or family friendly entertainment in a variety of locations throughout the county.</li></ol><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Clare County Council aims to have a balance of proposals throughout each Municipal District Area.</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Clare County Council encourages the presentation of range of performance types and multiple genres with due regard to gender equality and diversity.</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Performances can be recorded or streamed if health restrictions prevent live events or as deemed necessary or appropriate</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;"><br></p><h2 style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Who is Eligible?</h2><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">The scheme is open to promoters / producers / curators interested in providing a series of events or one off events at outdoor locations throughout the county to take place between July 1<sup>st</sup>, 2021 and September 30<sup>th</sup>, 2021 in County Clare.</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">If events are being planned for at outdoor attractions, hotels, restaurants, cafes, public houses or other tourism and hospitality business establishments commercial rates due in respect of premises have been paid for the period up to 31st December 2019 or a payment plan must be in place with Clare County Council.</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">All proposals should be compliant with Public regulations i.e. Planning Law, Fire Safety Requirements, Health &amp; Safety Requirements and casual trading (if applicable). Written evidence should be supplied unless otherwise exempted.</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">All proposals must have evidence of adequate and comprehensive Public Liability insurance and should carry an indemnity to Clare County Council.</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">If applicants do not have this level of insurance they must submit a statement confirming that should they be awarded the contract, they are willing and able to raise insurance cover to these levels (in cases where the existing cover levels are lower) and that you will maintain these levels for the duration of the contract.</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Clare County Council accepts no responsibility and concedes no liability in respect of any accident, injury, or damage to property or person however arising regarding any incident, occurrence or claim which may take place.</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">This funding support from Clare County Council and The Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media must be acknowledged in any publicity material produced regarding the Project, including the use of the Clare County Council and Visit Clare logos.</p><h2 style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;"><br></h2><h2 style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">What items are considered eligible for the scheme?</h2><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Clare County Council will use the funding to assist producers, promoters and venues to provide support for people in the industry to facilitate programming of outdoor live performances in summer 2021 animating local communities subject to public health considerations.</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Funding is available for</p><ul><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">professional local performers, artists, and musicians wages and fees</li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">technical crew wages and fees</li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">production technical costs &ndash; set building / rehearsals</li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">creative team fees</li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">video streaming costs</li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">technical equipment hire</li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">management costs (incl. promoter/ producer fees)</li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">venue costs (to include crew / overhead / payroll &ndash; for the duration of the production only)</li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">health and safety / security</li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">intellectual property costs</li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">event insurance</li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">marketing and promotion</li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">hire and transport of musical instruments</li></ul><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Grant funding may only be used to support the delivery of programme of events outlined above. Grant funding <u>cannot</u> be used as top&shy; up or substitute funding for existing events. Venues or organisations currently in receipt of state funding are not eligible to apply.</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;"><br></p><h2 style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Amount of Grant Available</h2><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">There is no limit on the amount you can apply for but your proposal should be</p><ul><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">adequately costed as per the eligible expenditure items for the scheme (outlined above)</li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">indicate if box office / ticket sales will generate revenue</li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">include an allocation for contingencies and</li><li style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">be cognisant that currently a maximum of 100 people may be in attendance (as per public health guidelines).</li></ul><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Budgets should be submitted on the excel sheet provided. </p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">The Council may receive more applications than it can fund. This means that we may have to prioritise and assess the applications according to the detail in the applications submitted with due consideration being given to the geographic spread of the applications.</p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;"><br></p><h2 style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Privacy &amp; Data Protection</h2><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Personal information collected by Clare County Council is done so for us to process your application. Legally we can process this information as it is necessary for us to comply with our statutory / legal obligations. Payments in excess of &euro;10,000 will require a current tax clearance certificate. If promoters require Clare County Council to pay performers directly, bank payment details and tax details will be required for each musician. Live Outdoor Local Performance Scheme

<p>The Finance (Local Property Tax) Act 2012 (as amended), makes specific provision that elected members of a local authority may pass a formal resolution to vary the basic rate of the Local Property Tax for their administrative area by a percentage known as the local adjustment factor. At the meeting set by Clare County Council to consider this matter, the members may set a local adjustment factor within the range of +/- 15% of the basic rate, or, may decide not to adjust the basic rate.</p><p>Clare County Council will meet in July 2021 to consider the setting of a local adjustment factor.</p>

<p>Clare Arts Office has been delivering the Artist in Schools programme for over 20 years. As the needs and priorities of schools have evolved over time, we are now reviewing how best to support schools across County Clare through future arts funding and programmes.</p><div dir="auto">We are inviting all schools to take part in a short survey to help us better understand the types of arts activities and funding supports that would be most beneficial to you.
