Get creative! Young people from the ages of 4 to 13 are invited to design a fun poster showing what they love about Clare’s blue flag beaches.
Why it matters?
Clare is home to some of Ireland’s most beautiful Blue Flag Beaches, which meet high standards for water quality, safety, environmental education, and beach management.
By taking part in this competition your posters will support our applications for blue flag beach status next year. Your posters will highlight how much we value our beaches and remind everyone, locals and visitors alike to keep them clean, safe and welcoming for everyone to enjoy.
Design a poster celebrating one of Clare’s Blue Flag Beaches. We want to see your creativity and what you love most about our clean, safe, and wildlife friendly beaches.
Your poster could show:
What makes your favourite blue flag beach in Clare special
How we can help protect our beaches, wildlife or sand dunes
Tips for keeping our beaches clean and litter-free

There are six €50 vouchers to be won – two for each age category:
Ages 5–7
Ages 8–10
Ages 11–13
How to enter
Create your poster on A4 paper (use crayons, markers, paint – anything!).
Take a clear photo or scan of your poster.
Upload and submit your application using the online application form below. The closing date to receive your posters is the 17th August 2025.
