Clare County Council is undertaking public consultation on the provision of CCTV cameras in public areas in Tulla and Kilrush, County Clare.
We propose to install and operate CCTV cameras for the sole primary purpose of preventing litter and dumping and enforcement of the Litter Pollution Act, 1997.
This initiative will adhere to the Code of Practice for the Operation of CCTV for the Purposes of Prevention, Detection and Prosecution of Litter Offences
Proposed CCTV will operate at these locations for an initial period of 8 weeks, subject to review.
