Proposed Fáilte Ireland Platforms for Growth Shared Community Facilities

Location

East End, Kilkee Co. Clare.

Nature and extent of proposed development

Pursuant to Section 177AE of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) and the requirements of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended), notice is hereby given that Clare County Council proposes to make an application for approval to an Bord Pleanála for the following development:

  • Construction of exemplar designed WC, Shower and Changing Room facility.
  • Construction of requisite external works including provision of access ramps and steps.
  • Connection to all ancillary services.

A NIS (Natura Impact Statement) has been prepared in respect of the proposed development.

An EcIA (Ecological Impact Assessment) and an EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment). Screening Report has been completed by CASS Ltd. in support of this application and is included as part of the plans and particulars forming this submission.

The Board may, in relation to an application for approval under section 177AE of the Planning and Development Act 2000 as amended, approve with or without modifications, approve in part only with or without modifications, or refuse to approve.

The Natura Impact Assessment, together with Plans and Particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection free of charge, or may be purchased on payment of a small fee (which fee shall not exceed the reasonable cost of making such a copy) during normal office hours 9.00a.m. - 4.00p.m. Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays), except where stated otherwise below, during the period from Tuesday 29th March until Friday 13th May, 2022 inclusive, at the following locations:

  • The offices of An Bord Pleanála, 64 Marlborogh Street, Dublin 1, D01 V902.
  • Planning Department of Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare, V95 DXP2.
  • West Clare Municipal District Office, Town Hall, The Square, Kilrush, Co. Clare, V15 XK70.
  • The Clare County Council online engagement platform available at: https://yoursay.clarecoco.ie/fipfg-kilkee

Submissions or observations regarding the proposed development may be made in writing to An Bord Pleanála in relation to:

  1. the likely effects on the environment of the proposed development.
  2. the implications of the proposed development for proper planning and sustainable development in the area in which it is proposed to situate the proposed development.
  3. the likely significant effects of the proposed development on a European Site, if carried out .
