Healthy Clare Micro Fund 2025

Introduction

Clare Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) recognises the importance of supporting initiatives around the county that promote population health and wellbeing.

What is the purpose of the Healthy Clare Micro Fund 2025?

The purpose of the Local Community Development Committee's Healthy Clare Micro Fund is to encourage and support community and voluntary groups to take an active part in improving and protecting health and wellbeing at all stages of life, reducing health inequalities, and creating an environment where everyone can play their part in a healthier Clare. The fund will encourage targeted actions in response to the identified 2 priority outcomes for a Healthier Clare.

1. Healthy Weight
2. Positive Mental Health Promotion

These priority outcomes align with the Healthy Clare Strategic Action Plan, Healthy Ireland Framework for Improved Health and Wellbeing and the Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP).

Who should apply?

Any Community and Voluntary group promoting health and wellbeing in County Clare may apply. Public sector organisations are not eligible to make an application. Groups are encouraged to register with the Clare Public Participation Network (PPN).

What types of proposals are considered?

The Healthy Clare Micro Fund 2025 has four different support funds addressing the outcomes for Healthy Clare.

1. Outcome 1: Healthy Weight (Max Grant €2,000)

2. Outcome 2: Mental Health (Max Grant €2,000)

With support from Creative Ireland, an additional small fund will be available to support projects that will support Healthy Weight and Mental Health projects through creative expression.

3. Grant 1: Creatively Supporting Healthy Weight (Max Grant €500)

4. Grant 2: Creatively Supporting Mental Health (Max Grant €500)

• Closing Date for receipt of Application Forms is: Friday 14th March at 5:00 p.m. via
• Once the project/proposal has been completed, applicants can submit a claim to the Healthy Clare Coordinator via the online platform Submit.com https://clarecoco.submit.com/show/93
• All projects must be completed by 31st October 2025. After this time, the funding will be withdrawn.
• Funding not claimed by the agreed deadline will be withdrawn.
• The applicant must comply with Tax Clearance procedures.
