What is Healthy Ireland?
Healthy Ireland is a government-led initiative which aims to create an Irish society where everyone can enjoy good physical and mental health, and where wellbeing is valued and supported at every level of society. Launched in 2013, against the backdrop of health inequalities, it is a collective response to the risks that threaten Ireland’s future health and wellbeing, as well as its economic recovery. Healthy Ireland is guided by the strategic plan titled Healthy Ireland – A Framework for Improved Health and Wellbeing 2013. What is the purpose of the Interim Healthy Ireland Round 4.0 Funding?
In order to deliver on the targeted actions in the Healthy Clare Strategic Action Plan 2019-2022 [based on the Healthy Ireland, A Framework for Improved Health and Wellbeing 2013-2025] and the Clare Rural Development Strategy, the purpose of the fund is to encourage and support population Health and Wellbeing initiatives in County Clare.
Who should apply for this funding?
The funding is available to support community and voluntary groups wishing to undertake physical activity and mental health projects between 1st September 2022 and 16th December 2022.
What projects can apply?
Initiatives in County Clare that promote both Physical Activity and Mental Health can apply.
How much will each project be funded?
The 10 successful applicants will receive Healthy Ireland Funding of €2,000 each.
