TULLA ROAD RAPID IMPLEMENTATION SCHEME

Tulla Road, Ennis Cycle Scheme

Public Consultation

Clare County Council has secured grant funding from the National Transport Authority (NTA) to deliver Active Travel schemes throughout County Clare. €1.8 million in Active Travel grant funding has been provided to upgrade the existing cycling infrastructure on the Tulla Road, Ennis (R352 regional road) between St. Senan’s Road and Hillcrest junction.

The purpose of this scheme is to improve safety and continuity for cyclists via the provision of a suite of traffic calming measures including vertically segregated cycle lanes, shared surfaces, tightened junctions together with raised cyclist / pedestrian crossings and associated works.

We are hosting a non-statutory public consultation over a two-week period from 10th to 24th March to seek input from, and discuss any concerns with, residents and businesses in the area and the wider public about our scheme proposals.

During this period, we will host two open evenings from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, 14th and Wednesday, 15th March in the foyer of Clare County Council offices on New Road in Ennis where members of the public may come to view the scheme drawings and interact with the Design Team.

Please find the following additional information on the scheme within the Documents and Drawings section:

• Scheme Drawings
