Young people from the ages of 4 to 13 are invited to design a fun poster about Clare’s Blue Flag beaches.
Why it matters?
Clare is home to some of Ireland’s most beautiful Blue Flag Beaches, which meet high standards for water quality, safety, environmental education and beach management.
By taking part in this competition your posters will support our applications Blue Flag beach status next year. Your posters will highlight how much we value our beaches and remind everyone, locals and visitors alike to keep them clean, safe and welcoming for everyone to enjoy.
What to do
Design a poster celebrating one of Clare’s Blue Flag beaches. We want to see your creativity and what you love most about clean, safe and wildlife friendly beaches.
Your poster could include ideas like:
Take your litter home - Leave No Trace
Control dogs and clean up after them
Respect wildlife and dunes
Simple messages can include:
"Leave Only Footprints"
"Bin It or Bring It Home"
"Scoop the Poop"
Prizes
There are six €50 vouchers to be won – two for each age category:
Ages 4–7
Ages 8–10
Ages 11–13
How to enter
Create your poster on A4 paper (landscape). You can use crayons, markers, paint – anything!.
Take a clear photo or scan of your poster.
Upload and submit your application using the online application form below. The closing date to receive your posters is the 21st August 2026.
