To celebrate National Tree Week 2024 the Tree Council of Ireland and Coillte, with the support from Clare County Council, are making saplings available, for free, to voluntary community groups.
Any interested group must undertake to plant saplings in a suitable public location, in their own community.
This year there will be a limited number of saplings available and that a priority ranking maybe implemented for award of the trees to groups. Saplings will be supplied on a first-come-first-served basis. Community groups that
have a Biodiversity Plan and/or outline the success of previous planted saplings/trees and
can demonstrate where planting will happen will be ranked higher.
