Join Us for a Thrive Ennis Engagement Session!

Clare County Council invites you to join us for a citizen and stakeholder engagement session on Thrive Ennis, a project focused on revitalising a vacant, under-utilised heritage building in Ennis Town Centre. Your input will help shape both an Integrated Urban Strategy showcasing Ennis’ heritage and architecture, and decisions on how best to adaptively reuse one of these selected heritage buildings to serve the community.

A short presentation will take place at 5pm and will remain on-screen for the duration of the session. Drop in at any time during the session and share your feedback!

DATE: Monday, 21st October from 5:00pm to 7:00pm

LOCATION: The Civic Room, Buttermarket Building, Drumbiggle, Ennis

Clare County Council is proud to participate in the new THRIVE Town Centre First Heritage Revival Scheme, funded by the government under the ERDF Regional Programmes through the Southern Regional Assembly.

This initiative aims to revitalise one vacant or under-utilised heritage/historic building in Ennis town centre, transforming it for community use.

THRIVE Town Centre First Heritage Revival Scheme supports local authorities across the country and their citizens to regenerate town centres by transforming publicly-owned vacant, under-utilised or derelict heritage buildings within key town centres through renovation, renewal, and adaptive reuse. It will deliver on policies set out in the National Planning Framework and Southern Regional Spatial Economic Strategy.

In County Clare, THRIVE funding provides an opportunity to return one vacant heritage building back into use in Ennis Town Centre, whilst addressing community needs. The community and stakeholder engagement will be important in giving the people of Ennis a voice in the selection of one heritage building for regeneration and its end-use.
